Chitwan National Park is the first national park of Nepal. It was granted a status of the world heritage site in 1984. Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Chitwan & Exploration

Your tour starts early in the morning from hotel. You will have breakfast at 06:30 am at hotel and at 07:00 am, leave for Chitwan by private transport which takes 5 hours with the nice view of landscape. Once you reach at hotel you will have lunch, check-in room and your nature guide will give short brief about the safari. After this, go for a village tour to ethnic Tharu village where you will have chance to learn more about their life style. Later return back to hotel where hotel setup Tharu Culture program which also participate local villagers.

Day 2: Chitwan National Park: Walk, Float Safari & Jeep safari

Wakeup early morning, breakfast at restaurant and after breakfast you will proceed to go bird watching and canoe riding along the Rapti river. Here you will observe two rare species of crocodiles - the Marsh Mugger and the fish-eating Gharial. On the way back, you will walk through jungle where you can witness species of flora and fauna. And back to hotel for lunch. After lunch, go for Jeep safari which is about 4 hours trip. An excellent opportunity to see lots of wild animals like deer, one-horn rhinoceroses, wild boars, leopards, sloth bears, Royal Bengal tiger (if you are lucky), elephants. monkeys & the lots of birds. You will also catch sights of many other smaller mammals that have made the Chitwan National Park their natural habitat.

Day 3: Bird Watching and Departure

Early morning small walk for bird watching followed by chance to relax or explore the surrounding village. We’ll explore the community forest, river habitats and open water areas to see the wide range of varieties of birds. Later we visit to Elephant breeding center. Breakfast at hotel and drive back to Kathmandu or Pokhara.

Trekking season in Nepal:
The usual trekking season starts from September to May. During the remainder of the year, Monsoon makes travelling wet and offers little in the way of mountain views. But some treks that cross high passes are better attempted in months other than December and January because of the heavy snowfall in some parts of the country. The temperature rises considerably under altitudes of 3000 ft. in April and May in some parts of the country, therefore it is wise to plan accordingly.

Transportation: Skylark Himalayan using a best transport company for our clients. Before we using vehicle, we always check insurance of vehicle, good condition of vehicle (seatbelt, seat, wheel, looking glass, all windows etc.), Driver (driver attitude, make sure drunk or not, smartness, driving speed etc.)

Airlines: In Nepal, we have more than 10 Airlines Company but we only used 3 reliable, safest, good company, 1 airline company (Tara Air) for rural area like short length runway. And another 2 airlines companies (Yeti airlines & Buddha Airlines) for urban area like Pokhara, Kathmandu, Chitwan, Nepalgunj etc.

Insurance: As strongly recommended by Skylark Himalayan Travel to the clients agree to effect what they consider to be adequate Travel Insurance to cover their person and their personal effects for duration of the tours, Trekking, Rafting or any of activities in Nepal
